TradeCheck adds a Business details card to each order page in the Shopify admin. This article covers what the card shows and how staff add or change details.
The Business details card
The card shows:
- The business's registered name, or the name the buyer entered, or "Unverified business" when there's neither.
- The ABN and entity type, with badges for ABN status, GST registration and each risk flag.
- The PO number, PO document, cost centre and approver.
- Name entered, when the buyer's name differs from the registered name.
- When the ABN was last verified, and where the details came from: Checkout, Thank you page, Order status page, or Added in admin.
An order without details shows "No ABN or PO details on this order yet." and an Add details button.
Re-checking an ABN
Press Re-verify now to look the ABN up on the ABR again, for example after the ABR was unavailable when the buyer ordered. The button is disabled when the order has no ABN.
Downloading the PO document
Press the PO document link to download it. Each link works for 60 minutes. Open the order again for a new link.
Adding or changing details
Press Edit details, or Add details on an order without them, to open the Edit business details form. Use it to correct a buyer's details or to add details for phone orders. The form shows every text field, whatever your checkout form settings are. TradeCheck checks the ABN against the ABR when you save.
- Staff can't upload or replace a PO document from the order page.
- TradeCheck saves a blocked ABN that staff enter, and flags the order. See Blocked ABNs.
Errors
- "Couldn't load business details.": refresh the order page. If it keeps happening, open TradeCheck from Apps once, then try again.
- "Couldn't re-verify the ABN. Try again.": the ABR may be unavailable. Try again later.
- "Couldn't save. Try again.": the change didn't save. Try again.
